PSP-Punxsy

• Police are investigat­ing a theft of constructi­on materials between June 27 and July 5 from Thompson Street in Big Run. The estimated monetary loss was $2,000.

• Police responded to a report of harassment at 5:28 p.m. Aug. 8 on Service Center Road in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County. An inmate at the Jefferson County Jail reportedly spit on the face of a sergeant attempting to deliver food. Police are investigat­ing.

• Police responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the roadway at 8:37 p.m. Aug. 9 on Route 1830 in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County. The individual inside the vehicle was reported as possibly intoxicate­d. Troopers on the scene observed indicators of impairment, and said the individual made “selfharmin­g statements.” He was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois to be committed. Charges are pending.

• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:42 p.m. Aug. 11 on Dayton Smicksburg Road in West Mahoning Township, Indiana County. A 2018 Subaru Forester went out of control and hit an embankment. The driver tried to regain control and crossed both lanes of travel before coming to final rest. The driver was transporte­d to Indiana Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries, and was cited for the crash.

PSP-DuBois

• Police responded to a report of harassment at 10:03 a.m. Aug. 6 on Stanley Road in Brady Township, Clearfield County. A verbal altercatio­n turned physical when one of the parties shoved the other. Charges are pending.

• Police responded to a report of harassment at 3:10 p.m. Aug. 6 on Route 28 in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County. A verbal altercatio­n involving a juvenile reportedly turned physical. The investigat­ion continues.

• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:19 p.m. Aug. 9 on Interstate 80 in Sandy Township, Clearfield County. A 2004 Ford Mustang broke traction with the roadway and struck a guiderail. No injuries were reported.

• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:13 p.m. Aug. 7 on Richardsvi­lle Road in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County. A 2008 BMW X3 spun out of control while negotiatin­g a sharp turn and the rear tire came off. The juvenile driver sustained suspected minor injuries and was cited in the crash.

• Police responded to a domestic altercatio­n at 3:03 a.m. Aug. 7 on Bloom Lane in Union Township, Clearfield County. Upon arrival, police saw the victim had a recent physical injury. The suspect was taken into custody.

• Police responded to a burglary at 8 p.m. Aug. 4 on Shortcut Road in Union Township, Clearfield County. A man entered the victim’s residence and removed several items.

• Police are investigat­ing a theft between 6 p.m. Aug. 8 and 8 a.m. Aug. 9 on Valley Heights Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. Unknown actor(s) obtained the victim’s identity for a loan through Progressiv­e Leasing for Lowes.

• Police conducted a traffic stop at 9:34 p.m. Aug. 2 on Taylor Avenue in Falls Creek. The driver reportedly showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He refused a blood draw, but police obtained a warrant for one. He also had an active warrant through the Clearfield County sheriff’s office. Charges are pending.

• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 10:47 a.m. July 25 on Route 322 in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. A 2022 Toyota Highlander attempted to pass a 2012 Subaru Legacy while it made a legal left turn. No injuries were reported. The driver of the first vehicle was cited.

• Police responded to a report of shots being fired July 30 on Egypt Road in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County. Two arrests were made. Charges are pending further investigat­ion.

Brookville Borough Police Department

• A known man was stopped by police for an unlawful window tint on Western Avenue, Brookville Borough on July 22. During the course of the investigat­ion, it was determined the operator was allegedly in possession of more than 2 ounces of marijuana and 5 grams of marijuana hash. The operator was also allegedly found to be driving under the influence of controlled substances. Charges have been filed with Magistrate Gregory Bazylak’s office.

• Police were dispatched to the area of Maple Street for a domestic dispute on Aug. 3 at approximat­ely 7:51 p.m. Upon arrival, police met with the caller, who told police that a man had thrown items at her and a juvenile who lives in the residence. During the investigat­ion into the incident, police spoke with the man, who admitted to throwing the items and that the items struck the caller and juvenile. There were no injuries as a result of the items being thrown during the incident. Police have filed three summary citations for harassment against the man for his actions during this incident. The citations have been filed at the office of District Magistrate Gregory Bazylak.

• On Aug. 9, at approximat­ely 9:06 p.m., police responded to a domestic altercatio­n. Both parties allegedly made physical contact during the dispute. Citations were filed against both.
