Lance John Walker, 71, of Punxsutawn­ey, passed away during the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, while at his home.

He was born on July 21, 1951, to the late Gilbert and Margaret (Allan) Walker in Cleveland, Ohio. Lance graduated from Punxsutawn­ey Area High School with the class of 1970. He was a selfemploy­ed carpenter by trade and ran his business for over 30 years.

Lance spent the last 30 years of his life with his fiancée and love of his life, Patricia “Pat” Elbel; Pat survives him.

Lance loved the outdoors and all the beauty that could be found in nature; he was an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He especially liked spending time at “Frank’s Cabin” with his family. He enjoyed playing golf and took every opportunit­y he could to do so. He lived a lot of places in his life, but Punxsutawn­ey was one of the closest to his heart; he loved the community and spending time at Punxsy Phil’s.

Lance will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

In addition to Pat, Lance is survived by two stepchildr­en, George (Sarah) Elbel and Clark (Melinda) Elbel; five step-grandchild­ren, Jason Demmler, Noah Elbel, Siera Plank, Marisa Plank and Natalie Elbel; his good friend, Jill Elbel; numerous cousins; and his uncle. Lance is also survived by his many friends around town, including his “Rendezvous” friends and Punxsy Phil’s friends.

Services will be held privately for the family and have been entrusted to the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawn­ey, PA 15767.
