PSP-Punxsy

• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 3:39 a.m. Jan. 17 on Route 28 Rose Township, Jefferson County. A 2004 Dodge Dakota went out of control, struck an embankment and overturned twice. The driver was uninjured and suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

• Police are investigat­ing a ChildLine report of corruption of minors Jan. 12 on 3rd Street in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

• Police responded to the Punxsutawn­ey Area hospital at 4:25 p.m. Jan. 24 for a patient in the emergency room reporting an assault. It was determined that there was a domestic dispute in which both of the involved individual­s sustained injuries caused by the other spouse. Both were arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment.

• Police responded to a hit-and-run at 12:24 p.m. on Sheplar Road in Henderson Township, Jefferson County. A dark-colored SUV was traveling east on Spring Road. It did not yield to a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado at stop sign. The second vehicle attempted to avoid a collision, traveling off the road and into a drainage culvert, where it rolled onto its driver side. The SUV left the scene traveling north. • Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 1:36 p.m. Jan. 26 on Ellermeyer Road in Young Township, Jefferson County. A 2016 Freightlin­er Cascadia struck a stop sign while making a left turn. A witness said the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle and driver were later identified.

• Police conducted a traffic stop at 7:33 p.m. Jan. 27 on Altman Avenue Extension in Young Township, Jefferson County. The driver was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and also had an active warrant for a parole violation. Additional charges are pending.

PSP-DuBois

• Police conducted a traffic stop at 6:58 p.m. Jan. 31 on Rich Highway in Sandy Township, Clearfield County. The driver allegedly was under the influence of a controlled substance.

• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 8:33 p.m. Jan. 27 on State Park Road in Huston Township, Clearfield County. A 2022 Nissan Frontier failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility pole. It then continued approximat­ely 70 feet before striking a tree. The driver was transporte­d to Penn Highlands DuBois with injuries of unknown severity. DUI is suspected.

• Police are investigat­ing a report of criminal mischief between Dec. 29 and Jan. 5 on Main Street in Falls Creek. There was minor damage to the door frame of a residence. There are no leads at this time.

• Police conducted a traffic stop at 9:01 p.m. Jan. 24 on DuBois Street in DuBois. The driver was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and allegedly was in possession of Gabapentin. Charges are pending.

• Police conducted a traffic stop at 1:29 a.m. Jan. 19 on Bee Line Highway in Sandy Township, Clearfield County. The driver allegedly was under the influence of a controlled substance.
