The Punxsutawney Borough Police Department responded to the following incidents:
• May 11, 2022, through Jan. 22, 2023: North Findley Street, indecent assault (two counts), selling or furnishing liquor to minors (two counts)
• Dec. 6: East Mahoning Street, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (three counts), possession of a controlled substance (56 counts), possession of drug paraphernalia (121 counts), possession of a small amount of marijuana
• Jan. 8: Beyer Avenue, corruption of minors (three counts), sale of tobacco, selling or furnishing liquor or malt beverages to minors (three counts), possession of a small amount of marijuana (four counts), use of or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia (four counts), endangering welfare of children (three counts)
• Jan. 8: Beyer Avenue, corruption of minors (three counts), selling or furnishing liquor or malt beverages to minors (two counts), possession of a small amount of marijuana (three counts), use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia (three counts), endangering welfare of children (three counts)
• Jan. 14: Sutton Street, endangering welfare of children (two counts), simple assault (two counts), recklessly endangering another person (two counts), disorderly conduct (two counts)
• Jan. 23: Greenwood Avenue, aggravated assault, simple assault, strangulation, intimidation of witnesses or victim
• Jan. 31: Sycamore Street, aggravated assault (two counts), terroristic threats (two counts), endangering welfare of child
• Feb. 2: Horatio Street, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness
• Feb. 3: Hampton Avenue, retail theft, receiving stolen property
• Feb. 4: Pine Street, harassment
• Feb. 14: Rockland Avenue, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct
PSP-Punxsy
• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 10:13 a.m. Feb. 3 on Graffius Avenue in McCalmont Township, Jefferson County. A 2013 Chevrolet Equinox began to slide on the snow-covered road and struck a tree. The driver and a passenger, both juveniles, were transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital by another motorist for treatment of suspected minor injuries. The driver was cited for speeding.
• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 5:54 a.m. Feb. 12 on Route 36 in Oliver Township, Jefferson County. A 2021 Kia Telluride struck a deer. No injuries were reported.
• Police responded to a report of terroristic threats at 8:24 p.m. Feb. 1 on Brink Road in Chest Township, Clearfield County. A man reportedly threatened multiple individuals in a residence and left the scene before police arrived. He was later arrested and charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.
• Police responded to the Jefferson County Jail at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 25 after an inmate reported that his wife had illegal firearms at their residence on Blocks Road in Young Township, Jefferson County.
