PSP-Punxsy
• Police are investigating a report of fraudulent use of the victim’s H&R Block debit card at 2:02 p.m. March 11 on Adrian Road in Young Township, Jefferson County.
• Police are investigating a report of identity theft at 5:16 p.m. March 13 on Markton Road in Knox Township, Jefferson County. Unknown suspect(s) opened a savings account using the victim’s name and social security number.
• Police are investigating a report of a possible scam involving a fraudulent check March 8 on West Main Street in Big Run.
• Police conducted a traffic stop at 12:27 a.m. March 11 on Route 322 in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County. The driver allegedly was under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending.
• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 3:49 a.m. March 14 on Interstate 80 in Rose Township, Jefferson County. A 2020 Honda went out of control and struck a tree. The driver was transported to Penn Highlands Brookville with suspected minor injuries. The driver was cited.
• Police are investigating a report of theft between midnight March 9 and 10:52 p.m. March 12 on Porter Road in Porter Township, Jefferson County. Multiple firearms were reported stolen. The firearms were recovered, but the investigation remains open.
PSP-DuBois
• Police are investigating a report of theft at 3:35 p.m. March 2 on Game School Road in Snyder Township, Jefferson County. The suspect(s) removed the victim’s S&T debit card and $100 cash from her purse, then used the stolen card to make purchases totaling nearly $1,300 at Walmart, CVS and Sheetz.
• Police are investigating a report of theft between Nov. 20 and 27 on Cricket Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. A known individual was accused of cutting four oak trees on the victim’s property. The total value was $2,000.
• Police are investigating a report of drug possession at 1:30 p.m. March 15 on Vo Tech Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. A known juvenile allegedly was in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia.
• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 3:29 a.m. March 14 on Interstate 80 in Washington Township, Jefferson County. A 2021 Mack truck went out of control in snow/slush and jackknifed. No injuries were reported.
• Police are investigating a report of drug possession at 10:39 a.m. March 13 on Vo Tech Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. A known juvenile allegedly was in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia.
• Police responded to a drug overdose at 8:53 p.m. March 13 on Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township, Clearfield County. EMS administered Naloxone and took the victim to Penn Highlands DuBois.
