Kenneth E. Miller, 77, of Cloe, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Laurelbroo­ke Landing in Brookville.

He was born May 29, 1945 to Henry and Glendola (Frampton) Miller in Punxsutawn­ey.

He married Carol Ruth on May 14, 1966, and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage together.

Ken was an active member of the Cloe United Methodist Church for 42 years, serving as a Sunday School teacher, lay speaker, lay leader, president of the Church Board and member of the men’s group. Music was an important part of Ken’s life, and he provided music in various ways but was best known for singing in the Kingdom Praise Men’s Quartet at churches, nursing homes and festivals. Ken was a former member of the Elk Run Fire Department. He worked 35 years for PennDOT as a heavy equipment operator before his retirement in 2005. Ken enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp. He had a good sense of humor. Most of all, Ken loved spending time with his family, who were the joy of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; a son, Robert Miller and wife Lorena (Punxsutawn­ey); a daughter, Jean Rose and husband Scott (Galloway, New Jersey); a grandson Ian Robert Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Velma Kitchen, Hazel Long and Elsie Marie Miller; and a brother, Ronald Miller.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawn­ey, PA 15767. Friends will also be received on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Thompson and Pastor Charles Provet officiatin­g.

Interment will take place at Pearce Cemetery in Rossiter.
