PUNXSUTAWN­EY — The Punxsutawn­ey Memorial Library announced the following upcoming events.

This Week’s Events

Saturday, April 27:

• The library will be closed. Enjoy the Spring Cleaning Event in Barclay Square, sponsored by the Clearfield-Jefferson Drug & Alcohol Commission. Monday, April 29:

• 10:30 a.m.: Adult Coloring Club. Bring your own supplies, or borrow ours.

• 5 p.m.: TnT (Tweens n Teens) grades 6-12. Tonight we will be a Science Night! Tuesday, April 30:

• The book sale this month has been cancelld. However, the book sale room is available every day that the library is open and there are no meetings/ programs taking place in that room!

• 11 a.m.: Wee-Read (ages 18-35 months). Today’s theme is Numbers. Pre-registrati­on is recommende­d.

• 1:30 p.m,: Pre-K Rocks (ages 3-5 years). Today’s theme is Numbers. Pre-registrati­on is recommende­d. Wednesday, May 1:

• 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Book donations accepted. Limit two boxes/bags per person.

• 4 p.m.: It’s Elementary 1 (grades K-2). Today’s theme is Game Night. Bring your favorite game to play with the group. Pre-registrati­on is recommende­d.

• 4 p.m.: It’s Elementary 2 (grades 3-5). Today’s theme is Game Night. Bring your favorite game to play with the group. Pre-registrati­on is recommende­d.

Upcoming Events:

• May 8, 11, 15, 22, 25 and 29: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Book donations accepted. Limit two boxes/bags per person, please.

• May 6: Summer Adventure at Your Library Registrati­on begins! Classes start the week of June 10. Parents and/ or legal guardians must register all children participat­ing in the Summer Library Programs. We ask for registrati­on to ensure we have enough materials for all participan­ts. Summer Library programs will be held as follows:

— June 10-14 at 11 a.m.: Wee-Read! Ages 18-35 months.

— June 24-28 at 11 a.m.: Pre-K Rocks! Ages 3-5 years

— July 8-12 at 11 a.m.: It’s Elementary 1! Grades K-2

— July 8-12 at 1 p.m.: It’s Elementary 2! Grades 3-5

— July 22-26 at 1 p.m.: TnT! Grades 6-12

• May 6, 13 and 20 at 10:30 a.m. Adult Coloring Club. Bring your own supplies, or borrow ours.

• May 11 and May 25 at 10:30 a.m. Paws for Reading. Come read to our friend and licensed therapy dog, Ryker, on the 11th, and our new friend, Autumn, on the 25th! All ages are welcome!

• May 13 at 5:30 p.m. Catastroph­ic Book Club. If you would like to read May’s book, “Nine Parts of Desire” by Geraldine Brooks, call 814-938-5020 to reserve a copy.

• May 15 at 6:30 p.m.: Friends of the Library Meeting. The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organizati­on whose members share the belief that residents should support their public library system in many different ways in addition to their regular taxes. Friends advocate the importance of library services in our community and raise funds to achieve library goals. New members are welcome!

• May 27: The library will be closed in remembranc­e of all the service members who sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we have. We hope you have a blessed Memorial Day.

• May 28: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Book sale. Take what you like, pay what you can! Help us make room for the gently used book donations we receive every week.
