Hispano Suiza is much more than a car manufacturer. Hispano Suiza Automobile Factory S.A. was founded in Barcelona in 1904 by Damián Mateu, with the help of technical director and engineer Marc Birkigt, also a partner in the company. Between 1904 and 1946, Hispano Suiza manufactured more than 12,000 high-performance luxury vehicles and 50,000 aircraft engines. During its 118 years of history, Hispano Suiza has become an important part of the Spanish and global automotive industry, creating exclusive, luxurious, reliable, and technologically advanced vehicles. These values remain in the new era of the company, which resurfaced in 2019 with the launch of Carmen and Carmen Boulogne, two 100 percent electric hypercars delivering over 1000 hp. Its production is limited to 24 units.

From race to road

The Hispano Suiza Carmen and Carmen Boulogne have been developed and built in Barcelona by a group of 40 engineers and technicians with a wealth of experience in the world of motorsport. Besides, they include technology deriving directly from the Formula E championship. The company has taken all this knowledge and brought it to a road car, resulting in a high-performance supercar with luxurious details, hence the concept ‘hyperlux', which Hispano Suiza itself coined.

Hispano Suiza doesn't make cars, but rather works of art

Each Hispano Suiza vehicle is unique. Thanks to the brand's Unique Tailormade program, customers have access to a wide variety of options to create the model they have dreamed of for all of their lives. There are 1,904 possible combinations, so no two Hispano Suiza are alike. This way, the brand has fulfilled the main purpose with which it returned to the automotive world in 2019: to produce vehicles for car enthusiasts that, to date, were only possible in their imagination. The cars have become authentic collectors' items, unique, handmade and personalized down to the most intricate detail.
