THE HUAYRA NC & CODALUNGA

-

Two stars are born from the Pagani Grandi Complicazioni special projects division.

Aone-of-a-kind coupé and a sinuous, elegant hypercar seemingly caressed by the wind are the latest born from the Pagani Atelier in San Cesario sul Panaro, in the heart of the Italian Motor Valley.

Unique, like a tailored suit, they are the result of years of research and experience in composite materials and the fruit of a new sector created within the company to give life to the wishes of the most select clients: the Pagani Grandi Complicazioni special projects division.

Exclusivity has always been a feature of Pagani cars, but today, thanks to the new group, hypercars become even more unique and arise from close collaborations between clients and the company's team of designers and technicians.

Embodying this process is the Huayra NC, a one-of-a-kind coupé and a unique model of its own genre, which, in addition to an ad hoc configuration, includes color combinations and a dedicated livery.

A road car, which can also be used on the track, its innovations include structure, bodywork, and mechanics, with the aim of increasing the car's performance. The monocoque of this one-off was designed with innovative structural shapes and realized through the application of the most recent systems in advanced composite materials. It reaches a new level of rigidity and torsional strength which passes required safety tests with a result five times better than the legal standard.

The performance is also remarkable. Thanks to the powerful Pagani V12 engine, the Huayra NC is capable of delivering up to 830 horsepower and 1080 Nm torque. The increase in performance was accompanied by a fine-tuning of the sevenspeed sequential gearbox, an electronic suspension system, Pirelli

Trofeo R tires and an aerodynamic package developed to balance the car in all driving conditions. These innovations, contained within a weight of merely 1,240 kg, guarantee control and safety of the vehicle in even the most extreme situations, offering an intuitive and unforgettable driving experience.

Destined for five fortunate clients, the Pagani Codalunga is sinuous and elegant. “We decided to start with the Huayra Coupé's simple and linear style. We made it longer and smoother, almost as if it were being caressed by the wind, to make it even cleaner and more elegant, taking inspiration from the longtails cars of the past,” explains Horacio Pagani while illustrating this special project which is suited for driving all over the world and was born hand-in-hand with clients.

The idea took shape in 2018, when two collectors asked Horacio and his team to make a longtail car, a special and innovative vehicle, which became an unprecedented project for the company. The idea was to create a hypercar as elegant as it is simple and clean in design - a model to be exhibited in international contests of elegance just like a work of art. Thus were born the first five samples of Pagani Codalunga which, measuring 4,914 meters in length, embody the state-of-the-art technology and mechanics of San Cesario Atelier.

Borrowing Leonardo Da Vinci's philosophy, the Pagani Grandi Complicazioni special projects division combines Art and Science as the principle behind all its creations. This principle will be fully expressed in the new hypercar, the C10 project, which will be unveiled to the world next September in Milan in an unusual setting that will bring together the genius of Leonardo da Vinci with Pagani's signature technology. Stay tuned!
