Spirit of The Quail Award

The Quail Motorsport­s Council chooses an enthusiast's car that best represents the true spirit of motoring. The selection is subjective but includes design, driving experience, performanc­e for its era, engineerin­g innovation, and timelessne­ss.

Hagerty Drivers Foundation Award

The Hagerty Drivers Foundation, in partnershi­p with FIVA are pleased to jointly present the award for the Most Well Preserved Vehicle at The Quail, A Motorsport­s Gathering. Motor vehicles that have been selected for this special award retain much of their original mechanical components, body, interior, and finishes and as such are an important part of our national automotive heritage.

Octane Editor's Choice Award

The Editor's Choice is awarded to the automobile the Octane editors ‘Would most like to drive,' and is a selection made purely by the heart. Emotion, enthusiasm, and beauty count: it's about soul.

50th Anniversar­y of the BMW M Division

Created in 1972 to help facilitate BMW's racing program, BMW Motorsport proudly celebrates their 50th year of the iconic 'M' Division. Sharing the 'M' badge in both racing and street form, we are honored to present examples of both on our show field today.

All Things MINI

Custom Coachwork

Representi­ng what could be called the epitome of one-off design, Custom Coachwork is often the vision of one artisan's view of design and build perfection. Often thought of as the purest expression of American design, and dominated by the top builders in the country, Custom Coachwork creations can in fact come from all over the world. Deserving of its own category, we celebrate the creativity of these builders with their own class.
