Spirit of The Quail Award
The Quail Motorsports Council chooses an enthusiast's car that best represents the true spirit of motoring. The selection is subjective but includes design, driving experience, performance for its era, engineering innovation, and timelessness.
Hagerty Drivers Foundation Award
The Hagerty Drivers Foundation, in partnership with FIVA are pleased to jointly present the award for the Most Well Preserved Vehicle at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Motor vehicles that have been selected for this special award retain much of their original mechanical components, body, interior, and finishes and as such are an important part of our national automotive heritage.
Octane Editor's Choice Award
The Editor's Choice is awarded to the automobile the Octane editors ‘Would most like to drive,' and is a selection made purely by the heart. Emotion, enthusiasm, and beauty count: it's about soul.
50th Anniversary of the BMW M Division
Created in 1972 to help facilitate BMW's racing program, BMW Motorsport proudly celebrates their 50th year of the iconic 'M' Division. Sharing the 'M' badge in both racing and street form, we are honored to present examples of both on our show field today.
