Wing Fest to benefit clubs
TROY >> More than 15 chefs from throughout the Capital Region will put their chicken wings to the test Wednesday night while also helping the Boys & Girls Clubs in Albany and Troy. The 2016 Capital Region Wing Fest will take place from 6 to 9 p. m. at Revolution Hall, 425 River St. Participating restaurants will include Brown’s Brewing Co. — which is hosting the event — as well as Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub, Cafe Lark, B-Rad’s Bistro, The Towne Tavern, Pompiere’s Pizzeria, Legend’s Field, Kaye’s Kafe. In addition to judging by a celebrity panel, the event will also include a wing- eating contest at 7 p. m. and live music by The Late Shift, an Albany- based alternative rock band. Tickets are $25 in advance or $ 30 at the door, with proceeds benefiting drug awareness programs offered by the local clubs. For tickets or more information, visit www.capitalregionwingfest.com.
