TROY >> Maddie McCarthy had a goal and an assist, Ava Turner had two goals and Lauren Berry, Lizzie Jarrett and Mae Burris-Wells scored once each for Emma Willard’s girls soccer team in a 5-1 win over Albany. Kennedy Jones scored for Albany.

CHVL

NEW LEBANON 5, HEATLY 3 >> Stephanie Feather and Emin Schafer each scored twice to help New Lebanon to a 5-3 win over Heatly on Monday.

The Hornets were led by a pair of goals from Olivia Diaz.

Boys Soccer CHVL

NEW LEBANON 8, HEATLY 0>> Austin Esposito had two goals and an assist, and Riley Lynch netted a pair of scores to lead New Lebanon to an 8-0 shutout against Heatly on Monday. Tim Lambert, Devon Horn, Danny Young and Caleb McVeigh each added goals for the Tigers.

Girls Volleyball Wasaren League

SARATOGA CATHOLIC 3, CAMBRIDGE 0 >> Ani Crocker had 17 service points, including seven aces to lead Saratoga Catholic to a 2511, 25-10, 25-19 win over Cambridge on Monday.

Grace Fornabia had nine aces and nine kills, while Elise Browell added five aces and 17 assists for the Saints.

Cambridge was led by Alice Roosevelt’s four kills. MECHANICVI­LLE 3, TAMARAC 2 >> Mechanicvi­lle emerged victorious in a 1925, 25-16, 12-25, 25-17, 25-19 match against Tamarac on Monday.

Taylor Grayson had 19 service points and 10 aces for the Red Raiders, while Lyndsay Robens had six kills.

For Tamarac, Halle Brust had 21 service points and eight assists, while Caitlyn Roden had 14 service points to go with seven digs.

BETHLEHEM 3, SHAKER 0 >> Bethlehem topped Shaker by the score of 25-16, 2514, 25-13 on Monday to improve to 6-1 in Suburban Council play. BURNT HILLS 3, COLUMBIA 0>> Lorenzo Kwolek, Brad Albright and Jake Baker combined for 22 kills to lead Burnt Hills to a 256, 25-8, 25-14 win over Columbia on Monday.

ALBANY ACADEMY 5, CATHOLIC CENTRAL 2 >> Albany Academy swept the singles matches while Catholic High won both doubles contests. The Crusaders’ Alanna Benitez and Helena Friend won first doubles 6-4, 6-4 while the team of Jenna Piscitella and Emily Carlow won 6-1, 6-2.

NLL DRAFT >> Former University at Albany men’s lacrosse standout Seth Oakes was drafted eighth overall in the 2016 NLL Draft on Monday.

Oakes, who scored 98 goals and posted 23 assists in 33 games over two seasons at UAlbany, was selected by the New England Black Wolves.

With the pick, UAlbany has had at least one player selected in the draft each year since 2012 and one first-rounder in each of the last three years.
