TROY - Eleanor Doody, 85, of Troy, entered into eternal life on Monday September 26, 2016 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Leo R. and Mary Maximo Hope and the devoted and lovsevwork­force. ing wife of the late Edward Doody.

Mrs. Doody was a lifelong Troy resident. Frank J. Cerqua

WATERFORD - Frank J. Cerqua, 82, of Davis Ave., died suddenly Monday September 26, 2016 at his home.

Born in Waterford he was the son of the late Vincenzo “Jim” and Vincenza “Tina” DiPirro Cerqua. He was a 1952 graduate of Waterford High School.

Frank had been employed for 32 years as Data PromemLadW­atercessin­g Manager at Cluett & Peabody Co. in Troy and retired in 1990. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Frank was a 50 year ber and past President of Kavanaugh Hook & der Co. in Waterford and was a member the ford Senior Citizens. Frank had many interests includSara­coming bowling, golf, toga Race Track, Racino, OTB, the Waterford Bocci League and for the past 50 years, the Saturday Night Card Club. He was a municant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford.

Nancy J. Shields

BRUNSWICK - Nancy Shields, age 78, of Bruns Septem Al after wick died Monday ber 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at bany Medical Center, a brief illness.

She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Shields and the beloved daughter of the late William “Bud” and Dorothy Yankowski. Nancy attended Catholic Central High School and worked for NYS Civil Service and the Watervliet Arsenal. She later retired from Rensse of laer County Department Mental Health after almost 33 years of service. Nancy enjoyed ing her time watching her grandchild­ren play sports. She would never miss a game and on many occasions even attended triple headers! Her greatest joy was spending time at famithe ly events such as 4th of July picnics, Bermuda cruises, summer vacations and of course football Sundays. She loved going to NYC to see Broadway shows. She will be sorely missed at the monthly dinner outings with her girlfriend­s. Nancy also enjoyed being on Hospitalit­y Committee at OLV Parish. Nancy was always there for her family.

Nancy is survived by her two beloved children and their families; Sandra (Phil(Em Brayden, ip) Harper and Gary (Lori) Shields, her grandchild­ren; Shannon, Joseph, and Ryan Harper, Kyle ily) Cooper, and Abby and Michael Shields, her grandchild­ren; Jason and Myla Cooper, and her siblings; William (Mary Ann) Yankowski, Thomas Yankowski, Mary Ellen (Brian) Bailey, and Edward Yankowski. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predecease­d by her grandson, Jack Shields and her brother and in-law, Francis and Jacque Yankowski. line

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Friends and relatives may visit with Nancy’s family at the church on Thursday evening, September 29, from 5 until 8 PM.

Pat was born on August 13, 1948 in Troy.

After graduating from Troy High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge, he graduated from Hudson Valley Comemprogr­amthrougho­ut munity College, then barked on a successful 30+ year career as a mer for the NYS Thruway Authority. Pat loved his work and developed many endearing friendship­s his career.

Pat was wed to Janice Conroy on March 17, 1972. They were married for 44 wonderful years. He treagrandc­hildren. sured his time with his family and took great joy in being actively present in the lives of his cherished children and

Pat is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter, leen (Martin) Cable; son, Joseph (Jillian) Beaudoin; and grandchild­ren, Joseph Patrick Beaudoin Jr., Elizaa beth Rose Cable and James Patrick Cable. He was the brother of George (Patricia) Beaudoin, Jack (Beverly) Beaudoin and Lucy (Don) Wemple. Pat was much more than a brother-in-law to Jan’s siblings. He was considerat­e, reliable friend and honorary big brother to Sister Donna Conroy, RSM, Michael (Kathy) Consevroy, David (Lori) Conroy and Peggy (Paul) Martin. Pat is also survived by eral aunts, several nieces, a nephew and many cousins.

Pat enjoyed participat­ing in many sports including softball, basketball and racquetbal­l. An avid er, he eagerly anticipate­d the annual outing with his golf buddies on Cape Cod. It was a tradition that spanned more than 30 years. In their retirement, Jan and Pat traveled extenbehis sively across the country in their RV. Wherever they went, Pat managed to come the “mayor” of every RV community due to friendly, helpful nature.

Please help us celebrate his life at a memorial mass that will be held on Friday, September 30th at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Avenue in Troy.

A private burial service with full military honors in Saratoga National Cema etery will take place at later date.
