Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Robert Stephens and Sheila LooreLiney Stephens. She had sided in the Troy area all of her life and was a graduate of Tamarac High School, class of 1975 and Hudson Valley Community College School of Nursing as a censed Practical Nurse.
