Helen Molesky Ropitzky
WATERFORD - Helen Molesky Ropitzky, 97, of Waterford passed away peacefully at Eddy Village Green, Cohoes on March 14, 2017. Born at home on the family farm in 1919, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Molesky of Easton.
Helen attended grade school at District #2, later attended Cohoes High School (Class of 1938) and the Albany Training School for Practical Nurses where she received her LPN depositions gree. She held several jobs including at Emma Willard, Berk Rays and the old Leonard Hospital on several floors, including pediatrics. She most enjoyed her private duty positions after her hospital work and worked with each patient for extended periods of time.
She was married to her husband Joseph, for over 60 years. He passed away in 2007.
She is survived by her daughter Sandy, currently living in Connecticut. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Paul and Marie Kopcha of California, Rich and Maxine Wagner of Clermont, Georgia, Teresa and Mike Mruz of Huntsville, Alabama and Ed and Hugyen Wilson of Harrisburg, Pennsylva- nia. She has many great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Molesky Kopcha of Halfmoon, Anne Molesky Wagner of Long Island, Tessie Wil- son of Pennsylvania, Irene Molesky of Waterford and Kay Molesky Meighan of Florida.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family and interment will be in St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery, Waterford. There will be no calling hours. Condolences may also be sent via the Brendese Funeral Home.
