CLIFTON PARK - Theresa M. Murphy Colozza, 80, of Westbury Ct., Clifton Park and formerly of Cohoes, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at her residence embraced by her loving family.

Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth T. Obzut (Peter) and beloved wife of the late William R. Murphy and Alfred B. Colozza.

Theresa was a lifelong area resident and resided in Bradenton, Florida for 25 years.

She graduated from Cohoes High School where she was a cheerleade­r.

She retired from Leonard Hospital where she worked in the business office. Theresa was previously employed by the Kemper Group, New York State, the phone company and Cohoes Hospital.

Theresa enjoyed golf, bingo, vacationin­g in Cape Cod with her family, and enjoying time with friends and family. She was a big Yankee fan and enjoyed going to watch and cheer on her grandkids in basketball, baseball and Tae Kwon Do. She loved to enjoy the nice weather and sitting by her pool. Theresa was a member of the Van Schaick Island County Club in Cohoes, and the Tara Golf and Country Club in Bradenton, Florida.

Theresa is survived by her devoted children; Margaret Murphy Flynn (Jeffrey), Sharon Murphy Fitzgerald ( Wayne), and William J. Murphy. Her step children; Dean (Karin) Colozza, Mark (Pam) Colozza, Lori (Michael) Novak, and Lisa Cocca. Her grand children; Jaime Montarello, Michael Dykno, IV, Matthew Flynn, Amanda Fitzgerald, KristaKr Fitzgerald Ocasio (Giovany), Brett Hill (Andrea), and Jacob Murphy. Her great grand children; Sophia, Olivia, Dominic Montarello, Juliana Dykno, Jacob Aaron, Jr.,., Graysonyso­n Murphy,py, and Kenna Ocasio; her step grand children; Laine, Kevin and Laura Cocca, Zachary and Benjamin Novak, Jenna Colozza, and Michael, Nicholas and Matthew Colozza. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Stevenson of Florida She was predecease­d by her son John T. Murphy (Rhonda).

Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd 105 Vliet Blvd Cohoes, Friday morning at 11:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Church of The Holy Trinity in Cohoes at 11:30.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 P.M.
