ValleyCats National Anthem auditions: The Tri-City ValleyCats are set to host their 7th Annual National Anthem tryouts at Crossgates Mall on Saturday, April 8from 10:00a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registrati­on will begin promptly at 9:30a.m. and will be located on the lower level outside of Lord & Taylor.

The top five finalists will have their performanc­es videotaped, which will then be placed online for a fan vote. The top vote-getter will receive the opportunit­y to perform on one of the biggest nights of the year at “The Joe,” such as Opening Night and the 4th of July, in front of an average crowd of 5,000-plus fans. The rest of the finalists will be awarded the chance to sing at another night during the season. Sage Gators Boys Basketball Camp: The Sage Spring Break Boys Basketball Camp will take place April 17-21youths ages 7-15. Register online at Sagegators.com. ic: The Sage Colleges’ men’s and women’s soccer teams will be sponsoring a free clinic, open to boys and girls, ages 9-14on Sunday, March 19.

The clinic will take place the Armory at Sage and is open to the first 35register­ed participan­ts. All participan­ts will be exposed to high level training that will allow them to work on all aspects of the game of soccer. Each player should bring their shin guards, a ball, and a water bottle with either turf shoes or sneakers. No cleats.

The clinic will be staffed by men’s coach Keith Simons, women’s coach Garrett Cobb and members of the two teams.
