TROY, N.Y.>> Event-goers are encouraged to Hustle into Health and Wellness at this month’s Troy Night Out.

The March Troy Night Out event, taking place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday throughout the city’s downtown district, is themed Hustle into Health and Wellness. This festival is meant to celebrate healthy habits while shopping, dining and exploring downtown Troy.

Local businesses will feature specials on products and services targeted towards health, wellness and fitness needs.

Attendees can kick off the night with retailers offering new fashion finds including yoga pants, tops, sneakers and headbands, then hit one of the fitness studios downtown.

Two community yoga classes will take place during Troy Night Out, along with March Madness specials at local gyms and dance studios.

Shoppers can create healthy living and work spaces with salt lamps, essential oils, air plants and calming aroma candles available at downtown stores. Retailers will have handmade soaps and soaks, organic wine and cookbooks ready to go home with Troy Night Out-ers.

As a celebration of art and culture, Troy Night Out also brings music, art and photography to residents and visitors. Festival-goers can take in the nourishing benefits of music as members of the local American Recorder Society play music throughout the night, along with The Brubeck Brothers Quartet playing jazz at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.

Guests are invited to check out exhibitions from local artists and save on fine art photography and art inventory.

A health fair will also take place during Friday’s Troy Night Out showcasing 25 businesses. These companies will offer food and drink samples while teaching about massage, physical therapy, nutrition and more.

Event attendees can also dine at bars and restaurants offering up homemade soups and salads, oysters, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes.

On the less healthy side a hot dog pop-up, heart attack mac and pulled pork are featured menu items throughout the district as well.

Shoppers, diners and explorers can stay up to date with the latest happening each month during Troy Night Out by following the Facebook page www.facebook.com/troynightout.
