Mark Capano
TROY - Mark Capano, 54, died suddenly at home, April 12, 2017 of natural causes.
Born in Troy and raised in Wynantskill, he was the son of Carol Dayton Capano and the late Louis Capano, the love of Jacqueline Euler, the father of Alicia Capano and the grandfather of Brodie Capano.
A graduate of La Salle Institute in Troy, he had been employed by CRC Cabling. Known as “The Big Unit” in various softball leagues, he was an avid Yankee fan and a feline fanatic. Mark and Jacki enjoyed spending time Fridays and Saturdays att various arious North Nth Pearl Street venues. Mark was the family’s humorous entertainer.
Survivors also include a sister, Catherine McCraw; aunts, Ann McGrath and Dorienne Dayton; niece and nephews, Laura and Jason Capano and E. J. Dennis; cousins; other relatives and friends; and by special friends, Nancy Bradley and Nan Pingleton.
Mark was predeceased by his brothers, Louis and Larry Capano.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washingtongt Ave. Ext., Rensselaer with Reverend John Varno presiding.
Interment will be held at a later date.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Lyons Funeral Home on Monday from 4 until 7 p.m.
