NORTH GREENBUSH - Margaret M. Wortz, 93, of Blooming Grove Drive died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Samaritan Hospital Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Henry Ackner and Myrtle Gottschalk Ackner and wife for 66 years of the late Lawrence F. Wortz. She had resided on Main Avenue in Wynantskil­l and since 1955 on Blooming Grove Drive in North Greenbush and was a 1941 graduate of Averill Park High School.

Marge was a homemaker. She loved camping, especially in Salisbury Beach, MA and wintering in Boynton Beach, FL.

Survivors include a son, LarryL J.J (Penny)Py) Wortz,Wtz, Clifton Park; a daughter, Debbie (Bob) Bazicki, Wynantskil­l; three grandchild­ren, Lorie (Roy) Sayward, Susanne Pantea and John Wortz; five great grandchild­ren, Matthew and Cody Sayward, Hannah Pantea and Makenzie and Haley Wortz; a great great grandson, Blake Sayward; a brother,brother Henry (Jackie) Ackner, Poestenkil­l and several nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her siblings, William Ackner, Mildred Schmidt, Virginia Boomhower and Donald Ackner.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, April 24,4, 2017 from 11 AM12 Noon with a funeral service to follow at 12 Noon with Rev. Karyl Hopp, of-fficiating.

Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery Rensselaer.
