SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Horseracing fans are gathering this weekend for a Kentucky Derby party in the Spa City.

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will host the third annual fundraiser from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m on Saturday, May 6 at the museum, located at 191 Union Ave. in Saratoga Springs, not far from the Saratoga Race Course.

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame aims to offer an authentic experience with a unique twist for the racing and food enthusiast.

Sponsored by Alfa Romeo, the event will feature samplings of local brews, wines and spirits, as well as signature Kentucky-inspired dishes from area restaurants. Judging for the best Kentucky-inspired dish will be given by Ashley Dingeman of Saratoga Food Fanatic.

While exploring the museum and its local connection, event-goers will enjoy live music by Annie and the Hedonists in the sport’s official Hall of Fame before a live airing of the 143rd Kentucky Derby. Coverage of the Kentucky Derby pre- show and racing card will be available throughout the museum on highdefinition TVs, courtesy of Best Buy. For those look- ing to gamble, smartphone wagering will be available through NYRA Bets.

Guests are encouraged to dress to impress, as an award for the most fashionable derby attire will be presented by Natalie Sillery, owner of Saratoga Trunk.

A classic photo booth from Snappy Sam’s Photoworks, sponsored by Fusion the Salon, will be onsite for guests to capture memories.

Also, attendees will have a chance to win with its raceday-inspired 50/50 and silent auction .

All proceeds from the event will support the museum’s educational mission and allow for yearround exhibits and programming.

Tickets are available for $55 at the door, or $85 including a one-year individual membership to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. Those who are already members can attend for a discounted price of $ 40. Groups of four can purchase tickets in advance for $160 total.
