TROY - Dominic Marro, 76, of Troy passed into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday afternoon surrounded by his loving family.

Dom was born in Troy and was the son of the late Dominic and Frances Nusco Marro. He graduated from LaSalle Institute in Troy and had worked as a mason and had been employed by the Zandri Construction Company, before his retirement. He was a Washington Redskin football fan and a NY Yankee baseball fan. He enjoyed playing golf and coaching pop warner football. But most of all loved spending time with his family.

Dom is survived by his children Diane Marro – Giunta and Vincent (Kim) Marro both of Troy and Dominic (Paula) Marro of Plattsburgh, NY. He is also survived by his brother Joseph (Pat) Marro of Texas, his sister Victoria (the late Nick) Mantello and was pre-deceased by his brother Sebastian Marro and his sister Gloria Marro. Dom is also survived by his life long companion Patricia Mahar of Troy and her family, Katie Harrington and Kyle Harrington and their children.

Dom is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his sissister-in law Theresa Marro.

The funeral service for Dom will be held on Friday evening at 7PM at The Bocketti Funeral Home 336 Third Street Troy with Deacon Charles Wojton, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7PM.
