STOCKTON, AL - Celebratin­g Roger E. Peterson’s passing into heaven, peace fully, on April 19, 20 at the home of Thomas and Susan Carberry where he resided since 2013 in Stockton, Alabama.

At 90 years old, Roger accomplish­ed many things as an electrical engineer. He was influentia­l in the originatio­n and design of public educationa­l television and cellular communicat­ions. He loved to create and invent, a master at modificati­ons and a guru of gadgets. Roger also served in the Navy.

Roger was the husband of the late Lynette J. Peterson and is survived by a son, Edward Peterson; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Carberry; granddaugh­ter, Kerri Merica Hitt; great grandchild­ren, Jordyn and CJ Merica, as well as cherished nieces, nephews and cousin.

In lieu of flowers, kindly honor Roger by contributi­ng to Stockton First Baptist Church of Stockton, AL, a congregati­on that surfaced his love and enhanced his passion for Jesus Christ.

Memorial service will be held on May 24, 2017 at 6pm at Stockton First Baptist Church.

Burial at No. River Cemetery in Colrain, Massachuse­tts on June 3, 2017 at 11am, all are welcome.
