Roger E. Peterson
STOCKTON, AL - Celebrating Roger E. Peterson’s passing into heaven, peace fully, on April 19, 20 at the home of Thomas and Susan Carberry where he resided since 2013 in Stockton, Alabama.
At 90 years old, Roger accomplished many things as an electrical engineer. He was influential in the origination and design of public educational television and cellular communications. He loved to create and invent, a master at modifications and a guru of gadgets. Roger also served in the Navy.
Roger was the husband of the late Lynette J. Peterson and is survived by a son, Edward Peterson; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Carberry; granddaughter, Kerri Merica Hitt; great grandchildren, Jordyn and CJ Merica, as well as cherished nieces, nephews and cousin.
In lieu of flowers, kindly honor Roger by contributing to Stockton First Baptist Church of Stockton, AL, a congregation that surfaced his love and enhanced his passion for Jesus Christ.
Memorial service will be held on May 24, 2017 at 6pm at Stockton First Baptist Church.
Burial at No. River Cemetery in Colrain, Massachusetts on June 3, 2017 at 11am, all are welcome.
