PAR-TEE: JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Northeastern New York Chapter hosts the 17th Annual Hoffman Car Wash and Hoffman Jiffy Lube Golf Classic and Par-tee on Monday, June 5. Over 100 golfers will enjoy a barbecue lunch at Saratoga National, 458 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, and then hit the links for a scramble golf tournament. There will be food to enjoy on the course as golfers vie to win a brand-new Mohawk Honda vehicle. The golf lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. with the shotgun scramble starting at 12:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. golfers will join the general public for the Par-Tee, with music by the Garland Nelson Ensemble, signature drinks, and dinner. KINDERHOOK LIBRARY BOOK SALE: The Friends of the Kinderhook Memorial Library Annual June Book Sale will take place on Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m.. to 3 p.m.. and on Sunday, June 11, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The location will again be at the McNary Center on Sylvester Street just steps away from the Library, which is located at 18 Hudson Street. The Friends will offer a wide selection of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books carefully selected and sorted for easy browsing. Once again, the Reading Ramble of the OK5K Race will kick off the sale. Young runners will receive a free book as they cross the finish line at the Library.
