Coaching course:
“Principles, philosophy and organization of high school athletes”, one of the courses required to coach in New York State high schools, will be held June 3 to 4 and
June 10 to 11 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Saratoga Central Catholic High School in Saratoga Springs. Participants must attend all class sessions in order to complete the course. Registration fee is $195 prior to May 21, and $250 after May 21. Tuition fees are non-refundable, but can be applied to future classes. Ice hockey summer camps:
The Hockey Hut in Clifton Park will be running five summer camps beginning on June 26. Fee for half-days (7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) is $195; fee for full days (7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is $295. The programs include Mite Mania, a stickhandling camp, a shooting camp, Bantam Transition and Battle Games. The Hockey Hut will also be holding a two-day skills clinic on April 21-22 at the Albany County Hockey Facility. The clinic is reserved for 8U, 10U and 12U players. Sage Gators’ Summer Basketball Camp for boys:

Sage girls’ basketball camp:
The camp is open to girls ages 7-16 and will run from June 26-30. Emphasis will be on skill development and improvement, effort and teamwork. Camp enrollment is limited to the first 50 registrants. Cost of the camp is $175 per person prior to May 1 and $200 after that date. Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt. Lunch options are available. Watervliet Pop Warner signups:
Watervliet Pop Warner is open to all children ages 5 through 16residing in Watervliet, Menands, Green Island, Cohoes and Waterford who want to play football or cheer. Sign-up dates are as follows:
June 8: Watervliet Dome 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; June 12: Cohoes Community Center 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Bernie Williams at Center for Disability Services fundraiser:
Four time World Series Champion Bernie Williams, who was a center fielder for the New York Yankees, and Latin Grammy nominated jazz musician, will be the a celebrity guest and will play jazz guitar at the 23nd annual An Aficionado Experience, a fundraiser for the Center for Disability Services, Thursday, June 8, at 6 p.m, at the Pruyn House in Loudonville. Williams will sign autographs for VIP sponsors during a special reception, he and his band will perform for guests during the night, and he will have his photo taken with fans in a special photo area. Field Hockey:
Capitalland Lacrosse is running a spring girls’ field hockey program for all beginner, novice and advanced skill level players in grades 3-12 at Collins Park in Clifton Park. Participants can choose Tuesday night or Sunday afternoon programs, which will start on April 30 and end on June 11. You don not have to be a Clifton Park resident to join. Players will be separated by age and skill level. Additional information can be obtained at capitallandlacrosse.com.

Capitalland Lacrosse is running lacrosse programs for boys and girls beginning on April 30. The boys’ lacrosse program for all beginner, novice and advanced skill level players in grades kindergarten through 10th will be held Tuesday night and/or Sunday afternoon at Collins Park in Clifton Park. Players will be separated by age and skill levels and there is an option for a player to play/pay per night if they can’t commit to the full season, which runs through June 11.
