COHOES - On Monday, June 12th 2017 we lost our Dad and best friend.

Richard C. (Dick) Wandell was born December 24, 1941. He graduated from Cohoes high school.

Dick proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Forrest Sherman.

On September 28, 1963 he married Maureen Fisher, the love of his life.

Dick worked as Captain of Security at Knolls Atom2000. ic Power Lab and retired after 34 years of service in

Dick was a Yankee’s fan and an avid football fan. Dick enjoyed talking to his friends and meeting new people. His booming voice could easily be heard and his blue eyes and great smile lit up a room. Dick was a member of the RotLeClub. terdam Elks Lodge 2157, Halfmoon American gion Post 1450 and the General Electric Quarter Century

Dick was a very caring and loving family man. He enjoyed attending events to support his grandchilc­ountless dren. He went to softball games, basketball games and concerts.

Dick was predecease­d by his wife Maureen; his parJune ents, Meredith and Clayton Wandell; and his sister, Smith.

Dick will be desperatel­y missed by his devoted daughters Jill Decker (Richard), Kathleen Messier (Craig) and MaryAnn Wandell.

Funeral from the ald Funeral Home, Ltd 105 Vliet Blvd Cohoes, Friday morning, June 16, 2017 at 8:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Cohoes at 9:00.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 pm.

Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes.

Those wishing to ber Dick in a special way may make contributi­ons in his name to the Halfmoon American Legion Post 1450, Grooms Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
