Durkin Tours of National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame: Retired racecaller Tom Durkin will lead personaliz­ed tours of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame throughout the Saratoga Race Course meeting this summer from July 21 through Sept. 4. Tours will be from 11 a.m. to noon most race days with a cost of $20 for Museum members and $25 for non-members (includes Museum admission). Tours will be limited to 15 people and reservatio­ns are required.

Firecracke­r4 Road Race: Saratoga Springs will launch its All-American celebratio­n with a bang Tuesday, July 4 when more than 4,000 runners take part in the city’s 11th annual Firecracke­r 4 road race. Starting and ending at the Saratoga Springs City Center, the event gets underway at 9 a.m. with the main attraction, the four-mile road race, which will be bib-tag timed with gun and net times. More than 3,500 runners are expected to follow a friendly course that takes them south on Broadway to Circular Street, east through the historic residentia­l district and then returns to the City Center. There are multiple bands along the course to keep runners moving. The first 3,700 registrant­s to sign up at firecracke­r4.com will receive an ASICS gender-specific tech shirt, goodie bag and finisher’s certificat­e. Registrati­ons are being accepted through July 3 at midnight at firecracke­r4. com. The fee is $30. Participan­ts can also sign up in person for $35 at Registrati­on/Packet Pick Up held July 3 from 3-7 p.m. and July 4 from 7-8:45 a.m. at the City Center. Rogue Lacrosse summer camps: A summer camp will be held from June 26-29 at Siena College. There are overnight and day camp options and the camp has a world-class coaching staff. An evaluation day will be held on May 21 at Gavin Park is Saratoga Springs, and summer practices for U11, U13, U15 and U17 teams have also been scheduled. Girls elite lacrosse camp: Albany Elite Girls Lacrosse will be holding a lacrosse camp for girls in grades 3-7 from Monday, June 26 to Thursday, June 29 at Afrim’s on Route 7 in Latham. The sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon all four days. Girls of all skill levels are invited to attend. The camp will feature stick skills, offense, defense and game situations. The cost is $175. Sage girls’ basketball camp: The camp is open to girls ages 7-16 and will run from June 26-30. Emphasis will be on skill developmen­t and improvemen­t, effort and teamwork. Camp enrollment is limited to the first 50 registrant­s. Cost of the camp is $175 per person prior to May 1 and $200 after that date. Each participan­t will receive a camp T-shirt. Coaching course: Theories and techniques of coaching, one of the courses required to coach in New York State high schools, will be held 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 22-23 at Vent Fitness Center in Guilderlan­d. Participan­ts must attend all class sessions in order to complete the course. Registrati­on fee is $175 prior to July 9, and $225 afterwards. Ice hockey summer camps: The Hockey Hut in Clifton Park will be running five summer camps beginning on June 26. Fee for half-days (7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) is $195; fee for full days (7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is $295. The programs include Mite Mania, a stick-handling camp, a shooting camp, Bantam Transition and Battle Games.
