ica” at Fourth of July barbecues. She also has performed at multiple family weddings and special events. The Ginley Girls, as they are known to family and friends, nearly always play a song or two at any summer bonfire or family party.

Kate started guitar lessons at the age of eight and always has encouraged and even pressured the rest of her sisters to sing along.

In 2014, Kate formed “Sisters for Smiles,” an organization offering musical visits and performances to grandparents in the Saratoga Springs area. The Ginley Girls have performed regularly at Wesley Heath Care Center since 2015. They also have performed at area elementary schools and the Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne.

Outside of her musical endeavors, Kate is a varsity field hockey and lacrosse player for Saratoga Springs High School.

Jane Ginley, 13

Listeners say Janey has a strong and beautiful voice.

She has performed in many school talent shows, with the rest of The Ginley Girls and by herself on the piano. She took piano lessons for five years and still frequently teaches herself to play popular songs.

Additionally, Janey played the role of Jane Banks in the Maple Avenue Middle School play in sixth grade.

Now an eighth grader at Maple Avenue Middle School, she diligently maintains a near-perfect GPA in her various accelerated classes. When she’s not performing with her sisters, Jane is an extremely hardworking athlete on both school and club field hockey and lacrosse teams.

Ava Ginley, affectionately referred to as Number 3, joins in on the family singing act with some slight nudging. The girls swear they could not harmonize the same without Ava’s ability to hit the lowest notes of the family. Ava always comes through for her family musical team, especially if it involves prize money or small bribes from mom. Ava is in sixth grade at Maple Avenue Middle School and has played both

lacrosse and field hockey since before she was even in school. A high honor roll student, Ava has been referred to as a talented artist and a wildly creative writer. When she isn’t playing with her little sister Ryann or hanging out with the older two, she is surrounded by friends.

Ryann Ginley, 7

Ryann Ginley, number four, probably needs little introduction to most in the Saratoga school community. She is a goofy, precocious chatterbox who brightens anyone’s day just by being around them. As the littlest in the bunch, she pretty much rules the family. She loves singing with her sisters and happily will practice at any time or any place. The highlight of this endeavor so far for her was when The Ginley Girls placed first in the Town of Greenfield Talent Show in 2016 and getting to hold the oversized prize check, which she still treasures to date.
