TROY - Amy Leigh (Spilman) McDonald, 43, succumbed to cancer on June 29, 2017, and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by the love of her life, husband Michael McDonald (Troy), dogs Dallas and Tuukka, mother Bobbi Lant (Sarato- ga), father Dennis Spilman (Saratoga), sister Kelly Cor(GuilGabby by (Pennsylvan­ia), sister Kerry (Brendan) McCann (Delmar), mother-in-law Sandy McDonald (Cohoes), sister-in-law Lisa (Chris Brassard) Pouchak derland), and the nieces and nephews that she so adored; Kelsey & Haley Corby, Aidan & Dylan McCann, Brad & Pouchak, and Jackie Brassard. Amy leaves behind several cousins, aunts, and uncles, but is now reunited with family, friends, and pets who have gone before her.

Amy was born on April 12, 1974 in Silver Spring, MD, but grew up in SaraSarato­ga toga Springs, NY. She is a 1992 graduate of Springs High School and received her B.S. in Biology from SUNY Plattsburg­h in 1997 where she was a memcampvac­ations ber of Alpha Phi Omega. Amy resided in Troy, NY and had a long career at St. Peter’s Hospital where she made many friends. Amy enjoyed shopping, ing, and taking especially in Ocean City, MD. She was an avid Def Leppard and Detroit Red Wings fan.

A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at Marra Funeral Home, 246 Remsen St., Cohoes, NY 12047. Calling hours are 9am to 12pm prior to services.
