TROY – Richard P. Kulzer, 87, peacefully passed away at home on June 28, 2017.

Born in Troy he was the son of the late Thomas and Matilda Clements Kulzer and the husband of the late Vera Kowal Kulzer. He lived his early life in Watervliet and attended Maplewood Elementary and Watervliet High School. He served in Korea with the Army, attached to the Air Force at Kimpo Airbase in Seoul, So. Korea. He earned a Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal and was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years.

Mr. Kulzer was employed for over 40 years with Behr Manning and the Norton Company in Watervliet. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers InternaLoc­al tional Union, 83.

Dick enjoyed watching the boating activity on the Hudson River from his yard and traveling with his lifelong friend, Sal Tedesco.

He was a loving father who adored his visits with his children, grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

Survivors include his children, Richard E. Kul(Debgrandsu­rzer, David L. Kulzer orah), Joseph M. Kulzer, Dennis Kulzer (Lorie) and Michele Herrington (John), grandchild­ren, Joel and Kailyn Kulzer, Jennifer Foy and John Herrington Jr. ,Kristofer and Kathryne Kulzer and great children, Alexis, Avery, Myles and Ellie. Also vived by his brother ThomsevKul­zer. as J. Kulzer (Grace) , sister Janice Zoller (Al) and eral nieces and nephews. Predecease­d by his brother, Peter

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am from the Frank P. McDonLanin­the ald & Son Funeral Home 870 Second Ave. in singburgh. Friends are vited and may call at Funeral Home on Monday morning from 9 am to 11 am. The interment with full military honors will be in the Gerald BH Soloat mon National Cemetery in Schuylervi­lle 12:30 pm.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers that helped Dick through this difficult time.
