COHOES - Esther M. Remillard, 86, of Willow St., Cohoes passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Van Rensselaer Manor. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Octave and Genevieve Therrien Bertrand and beloved wife of Arthur Remillard.

Esther was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Catholic Central High School in Troy. She was employed as a book keeper for many years at Sun Oil Company in Rensselaer and various local companies. She enjoyed ing time with her treasured grandchild­ren and enjoyed her retirement wintering in Paradise Bay in Florida.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Andrew) Waterman of Sand Lake, NY and Marilyn Batten of Lake Land, Fl, grand Fran Bertrand. children, Justin, Brandon, Christian Waterman and Aaron (Jessie) Batten, and great granddaugh­ter Bailey Batten along with several nieces and nephews.
