TROY – Walter T. Patrick Sr., 100, of Lansingbur­gh died peacefully on August 9, 2017 at the Van Rensselaer Manor. Born in Troy he was the son of the late James and Mary Morrissey Patrick and the devoted husband of the late Anna Burnithe Patrick. They had been married 77 years.

Mr. Patrick was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and was a member of the Civilian Conservati­on Corps before entering the US Army in 1945.1945. HeH retiredtir­ed from the General Electric Company in Schenectad­y after years of dedicated service and was a long time member of the American Legion Post 1482 in Wynantskil­l and the Veterans of Lansingbur­gh.

Mr. Patrick loved to visit Saratoga in August and the racetracks of Florida during the winter.winter An avid golfer, Wally was a member of the North Eastern New York Golf Associatio­n and played for years with his friends. He was a former member of the Mechanicvi­lle Golf Course and Frear Park in Troy.

Survivors include his loving children, Robert Patrick Sr. (Joan), Walter Patrick Jr. (Judy), Maryy Anne Teta (late Anthony), Kathleen Seabury (Edgar) and Christine Ford (Bob). 17 grandchild­ren, 22 great grandchild­ren, 2 greatgreat grandchild­ren and 1 on the way.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 am from St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingbur­gh where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The internment with full military honors will be in the Gerald BH Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylervi­lle at 11 am. Friends are invited and may call at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home 870 Second Avenue (124th & 125th Streets) in Lansingbur­gh on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm.
