Angeline (Clemente)

Frances TROY - Angeline (Clemente) Francese of Troy passed away peacefully on August 11, 2017 at The Teresian House in Albany, surrounded by her loving family.family

Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Carmella (Pitanillo) Clemente. Prior to her marriage, Angie worked at Cluett Peabody as a seamstress. Once married she became a full time homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, bingo, music and spending time with her family.family

Angie was predecease­d by her beloved husband of 53 years Stephen A. Francese and was a communican­t of St. Mary’s Church in Troy. She is survived by her children Stephen (Linda) Francese of Malta and Lynn (Joseph) Woods of North Greenbush, and her cherished grandchild­ren Chelsea Francese, Gregory Francese, Matthew Woods and Nicholas Woods. She is also survived by her sister Louise Farina and many nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her grandson Stephen P. Francese, sisters Catherine Bruno, Mary Farina and Madeline Gilboy and brothers Nicholas Clemente, Jerry Clemente and Michael Clemente.

Angie’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Teresian House for their loving care and support.

The funeral service for Angie will be held on Wednesday morning at 8:45 AM at The Bocketti Funeral Home 336 Third St. Troy and at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Church in Troy where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7PM.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy.

Letha S. Placzkowsk­i

BUFFALO – Letha Sharp Placzkowsk­i, 72, formerly of Watervliet and Troy, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Rosewell Park in Buffalo, NY. She was born in Troy on September 6, 1944, the daughter of the late Howard and Eleanor Miller Sharp.

Letha was raised in Troy and was a graduate of Lansingbur­gh High School. She was a resident of Watervliet for many years before moving to Buffalo in 2009.

She was employed by New York State for over 25 years retiring from the NYS Worker’s Compensati­on Board as a case worker in 2006.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.

She is the beloved mother of Lori (Mike) Patrick of Troy and Amy (Joe) Manna of Buffalo; adored nana of Krystie Patrick, Andrew, Caroline and Joseph Manna; great nana to Savannah Sherry; lifelong friend to the father of her children, Frank Placzkowsk­i; sister of the late Howard Sharp. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 15th at 11:30 am at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00-0011:30 am. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
