TROY - Marilyn K. Marvin, our beloved mother, grandmothe­r and great grandmothe­r died on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Born to Francis Kelly and Mildred Nelson in Brooklyn, New York on April 21, 1927. Marilyn was raised and educated in Queens and Brooklyn. Marilyn was predecease­d by her husband; Bill Marvin. Marilyn and Bill enjoyed 56 years of marriage.

A lover of all good things in life, but most of all her family. She is survived by her five daughters: Kath-Kth ryn Jabour and her husband Joseph, Nancy Ames, Jayne Molly and her husband Marty, and Marilyn (Fran) Gallagher and her husband John, all of Troy, Connie Thibodeau and her husband Marc, of Andover MA., her fourteen loving grandchild­ren: Jack Reetz (Paula), Kelly Pramberger (Derek), Wil-Wil liam Jabour (Katie), Michael Ames (Jessica), Matthew Ames (Julie Ortman), Daniel Ames, Tara Martin (George), Eileen Molloy (Christophe­r Crivello), Joseph, Bridget, Jimmy and Kerri Thibodeau, Thomas Gallagher (Kourtney), and Mary Gallagher (Ryan Parker), her ten greatgrgra­ndchildren: Jack,ack, Owen and Collin Reetz, Luis Pramberger, Easton and Jacob Ames, Royal Ames, George and Patrick Martin, and Annie Gallagher, her sister Lois Dougherty, her brother in law Robert Marvin, her sister in law Marilyn Fitzpatric­k, also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church, North Lake Avenue, Troy on Friday August 18, 2017 at 12:30. Private burial will follow the Mass. The family will receive visitors from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at church prior to mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in MarilynMar­ilyn’ss memory may be made to Eddy Heritage House, Activities Fund 2920 Tibbits Avenue, Troy, NY 12182.

She was a devoted Roman Catholic, and had a special devotion to our Blessed Mother. Pat said the Rosary every day of her life. She was a longtimegt member at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany and later at St. Augustine’s, Troy. She was a Eucharist Minister at The Pines at Heartwood.

She was the wife of the late Robert Harold Joyce; beloved mother of Angela M. Joyce, Patricia LL. Joyce (Theodore Hack) and Sheila T. Joyce; cherished grandmothe­r of Shannyn M. O’Shea, Steven R. O’Shea, and Jacob M. Joyce; sister of Leo Madigan and the late Maureen Sweet, and her twin sister Margaret McLaughlin: and also aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pat’s family Thursday, August 17, 2017 9:00 am to 10:00 am in McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany.
