EAGLEG MILLS - FFrancis AA. Heiser,, 82,, of EagleE Mills died August 13, 2017 at home.

Born in Fountain Hill, PA, he was the husband of Teresa Z. Heiser for 61 years and the son of the late Frank and Anna (Rapp) Heiser.Heiser Fran was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Allentown, PA, Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA where he earned a BS MetE, RPI in Troy where he earned an MS MetE, and Lehigh Uni versity where he earned PhD MetE. Fran was stationed with the U.S. Army at the Watervliet Arsenal then served for eight years in the National Guard in Cohoes and in Troy. He retired from Benet Laboratory after 40 years of service. Fran was a coach with youth sports and a member of the Town of Brunswick Youth Commission in the 1990’s. He enjoyed watching the children’s and grandchild­ren’s activities, and playing golf. He was a communican­t, lectorlec and eucharisti­c minister at the former St. Francis de Sales Church and later a communican­t of Our Lady of Victory Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Karen Heiser Elting and her husband Cliff Elting of Brunswick, Steven (MaryAnn) Heiser of Brunswick, Brian (Elizabeth) Heiser of St. James, NY and Thomas (Kristine) Heiser of Wynantskil­l; eight grandchild­ren, Matthew, Jerrod, Mackenzie, Mollie, Michael, Jack, Emma and Charlie Heiser; his brother, Anthony Heiser of Whitehall, Pa; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predecease­d by his brother, Raymondymo­nd HHeiser.

The funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands in the American Saints Mausoleum. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m.
