Rooftop police sit- ins to benefit
TROY, N.Y. » Dunkin’ Donuts shops throughout the Capital Region will again support the annual Cops on Top event to raise awareness and funding for Special Olympics New York.
Community members are invited to visit participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants Friday to support officers participating in sit-ins atop the roofs of those shops, visit with Special Olympics athletes and their families and make donations to Special Olympics New York. Dunkin’ Donuts will offer guests a coupon for a free doughnut when they make a monetary donation.
Among the participating Capital Region locations are 749 Hoosick St. in Troy, 97 Troy Road in East Greenbush and 92 Saratoga St. in Cohoes. All contributions generated from the campaign will support Special Olympics New York programs for Capital Region families.
