Phyllis C. Wheeler

WATERFORD - Phyllis C. Wheeler, 84, formerly of Waterford died Friday August 18, 2017 at Wesley Health Care Center. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Arnim and Bertha Hillman Chapman and was a 1950 graduate of Waterford High School.

Phyllis was an auditor and payroll clerk for the Cluett and Peabody Co. She had also worked as a teacher’s assistant at Waterford Halfmoon School. She was a member of the Waterford Study Club, Waterford Senior Citizens and had volunteered at the Waterford Visitors Center.

She was the widow of John H. Wheeler Jr. and is the loving mother of John H. Wheeler III (Kathleen) of Waterford, Mark C. Wheeler (Patricia) of Ballston Spa and Paul J. Wheeler (MMary)y) of MMechanicville. She is the sister of Caryl Elmendorf of Clifton Park and the late Bruce Chapman. 7 Grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 pm.
