Alfred J. Maroli

LOUNDONVIL­LE - Alfred J. Maroli, 61 of Loudonvill­e passed away peacefully yet suddenly in the comfort of his home on Sunday, Sep - tember 3, 2017.

Born in Troy on July 27, 1956, he was the son of the late Michael A A. and Ruth M. ( Daniels) Maroli. Al was a 1974 graduate of LaSalle High School.

Al was the former owner and operator of Big Al’s Produce in Menands for 11 years. He previously worked for Masher’s Pro - duce in Troy for several years. Al currently was a Produce Man with A. J. Ri - nella Inc. in Menands for the last 10 years. He was also an AVID New York Gi - ants and New York Mets Fan.

He is survived by Debra J. Waite of Loudonvill­e, his sisters Dolores M. Valenti and Leonora ( Ellie) Mar - oli all of Troy as well as his nieces Michele Valenti and Daniele Lyman and his aunt Jennie Masher.

TROY OY – R Ruth th D.D G Gregware Brothers, 95, died peace - fully Monday, September 4, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her family at her side. Born in Green Island on February 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Hazel L. Goyer Gregware.

Ruth was raised and Johnsonvil­le cated in Watervliet. She also lived in Connecticu­t, and most re - cently in Troy for the past 15 years.

She was employed by Covert vert Manufactur­ing Manufactur­ing, the Watervliet Arsenal and Tek Hughes all in Watervliet and the NYS Dept. of Taxa - tion & Finance.

She was the wife of the late William J. Brothers, former Police Chief of the Watervliet Police Dept., who died November 8, 2008; loving mother of Barbara S. ( Barry E.) Lar - son of Latham and the late William J. Halse; adored grandmothe­r of Frank B. Mastan and Joella ( Dale) Thomson both of Latham, Christine ( Ed) Goldman of Florida and William J. ( Sabrina) Halse of Mechan - icville; great grandmothe­r of Jade, Julianna, Shelby, Nicholi, Sabatino and On - ika.

She was predecease­d by her siblings, Edward, Don Howansky, ald and Norman Gregware, Lorraine Slickko, Norma ky Shirley John - son and Carol Picozzi. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Thursda Thursday at t 10: 00 am at t the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet with Rev. Marlon Galamore officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4- 7 pm.

Thomas A. “Red” Nicoll

TROY – Thomas A. “Red” Nicoll, 91, of Troy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Van Rensselaer Manor. He was born in Watervliet and was the son of the late Andrew G. and Loretta B. Connors Nicoll.

Tom was in the U. S. Navy during WWII and served on the USS Battan, aircraft carrier. He was a machinist with the Norton Company ( Behr Manning) in Waterv - liet for 39 years, retiring in 1987. Tom loved to play golf and was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics and New York Yankees. He cherished every y moment with his five grandchild­ren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Theresa M. Delehanty Nicoll; his children, Deborah J. ( Don - ald) Heaphy, Gary J. ( DiThomas ane) Nicoll and the late J. Nicoll; his cher - ished grandchild­ren, Gary T. Nicoll, Daniel Heaphy, Elizabeth Heaphy, Connor Nicoll and Lauren Nicoll. He is the brother of Anthe drew ( Carolyn) Nicoll, Ruth Ann ( Jack) Yetto and late Doris ( Paul) LeB - eau, Mary ( Albert) Marro, Joseph ( Mary) Nicoll, Don - ald Nicoll and Paul Nicoll Janice survives). Tom is also survived by several in( laws, nieces and nephews.
