Jean E. Kernaghan
WATERFORD - Jean E. Kernaghan, 93, formerly of Waterford died Friday Sep - tember 8, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Born in Brunswick she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys Pfeiffer Tilley. She was a 1943 graduate of Troy High School.
Jean had been employed at the former Behr- Manning Co. in Watervliet during World War II. A homeand maker she enjoyed cooking and reading and she also had a fondness for cats.
She was the widow ofWal - ter Kernaghan who died in 1992. She is the loving mother of Karen Phillips ( Thomas) of Hurley and the late Wendy Fetterling. She is the sister of Har - old Tilley ( Shirley- Anne) of Poestenkill and Phyllis O’Neal of Rensselaer. She is the proud grandmother of Tara Brewer ( Chris) of Guilderland and Shelley Collins of Ashburn, VA and great grandmother of Ca - dence and Melody Brewer. Several nieces and neph - ews also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p. m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. ( Rte. 32), Wa - terford. Interment will be in W Waterford terford R Rural al Cem Cemto etery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the funeral service from 11 am 1 pm.
