TROY, N. Y. » RPI junior quarterbac­k Ed Trimpert was selected as Offensive Performer of the Week in football for the second straight week after leading the Engineers to a 36- 14 road win over WPI.

Trimpert completed 11 of 17 passes for 234 yards with five touchdowns and no intercepti­ons. For the season, he has now completed 71.0 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and no intercepti­ons.

IN HOST TOURNEY » The Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake girls volleyball team lost to Walter Panas — the No. 1 ranked team in the USA Today Eastern Region poll — 25- 22, 25- 19 in the finals of the Harold Van Earden memorial tournament in Burnt Hills.

Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake swept John Glenn 25- 18, 25- 23 in the quarterfin­al round and Smithtown East 25- 14,25- 9 in the semis.
