RPI QB wins weekly award
TROY, N. Y. » RPI junior quarterback Ed Trimpert was selected as Offensive Performer of the Week in football for the second straight week after leading the Engineers to a 36- 14 road win over WPI.
Trimpert completed 11 of 17 passes for 234 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions. For the season, he has now completed 71.0 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and no interceptions.

IN HOST TOURNEY » The Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake girls volleyball team lost to Walter Panas — the No. 1 ranked team in the USA Today Eastern Region poll — 25- 22, 25- 19 in the finals of the Harold Van Earden memorial tournament in Burnt Hills.
Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake swept John Glenn 25- 18, 25- 23 in the quarterfinal round and Smithtown East 25- 14,25- 9 in the semis.
