Handicappi­ng 101 Seminar: Racing analyst Tom Amello will present the first of two educationa­l seminars dedicated to thoroughbr­ed handicappi­ng at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame on Tuesday, July 25 at 11 a. m. Amello’s “Handicappi­ng 101” is aimed at introducto­ry racegoers who are beginning to learn the sport and seek to understand its basic elements. The program is included with a paid Museum admission. “Handicappi­ng 101” will cover the essential elements of understand­ing past performanc­es, general racing terminolog­y and how to analyze the odds board to help make educated wagers. Attendees will also get the opportunit­y to ask questions of the host.

A second seminar, “Advanced Handicappi­ng Analytics,” will be hosted by Amello on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at the Museum. That event will be at 11 a. m. and is free with a paid Museum admission. Sage Men’s Basketball Clinic: The Sage Men’s Basketball Team will once again host the Boys’ Basketball Columbus Day Skills Clinic on Monday, October 9. The Columbus Day Clinic will take place in Kahl Gym in Albany, from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m.

The camp is for boys ages 7- 15 and will include competitiv­e 3 vs. 3 play, daily contests, individual instructio­n, and great giveaways! The cost is $ 60 per camper.

The Hockey Hut in Clifton Park will be running five summer camps beginning on June 26. Fee for halfdays ( 7: 45a. m. to 12: 30 p. m.) is $ 195; fee for full days ( 7: 45a. m. to 4 p. m.) is $ 295. The programs include Mite Mania, a stick- handling camp, a shooting camp, Bantam Transition and Battle Games. Clinic: The Shen Girls Volleyball Program will host its annual Volley Futures Clinic the following Mondays this Fall: Sept. 11, 18, 25and Oct. 2. The clinic will take place at the Shen HS East New Gym from 5: 30 to 7 p. m. Come learn various volleyball skills and concepts of the game. The program is for beginning players in grades 2- 8.
