EAST GREENBUSH - Evelyn Edith Stannard Casterlin, 85, of Troy Road died Sat Saturday,rda September 16, 2017, at Rosewood Gardens after a long illness.

Born in Brunswick, she was daughter of the late Aubrey Stannard and Lela Mae Hayner Stannard and wife of the late Lynn A. Casterlin, Sr. She was born and raised in the Troy area and resided in Averill Park for many years. She was ed - ucated in Troy schools and a 1950 graduate of Troy High School.

Evelyn was a calculatio­ns specialist for the NYS De - partment of Criminal Justice for 25 years retiring in 1994.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sand Lake, Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of the Amaranth. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

Survivors include her children, Lynn A. ( Joan) Casterlin Jr., Charleston, SC, Karen Evelyn ( William) Ague, Poestenkil­l, Wendy Anne Richards, Pittstown, Charles A. Casterlin, Troy and Donald ( Tammy) Cast - erlin, Raleigh, NC; several al grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren and her sister- in- law, Eleanor Stan - nard. She was predecease­d by her brother, Kenneth H. Stannard and her grand - daughter, Melissa L. Rich23, ardson.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 2017 at 11AM at Mem - ory Gardens 983 Waterv( liet - Shaker Road Colonie Please meet inside the en - trance of the cemetery no later than 10: 55AM for the procession to the grave).
