Luigia Gina Palage

Luigia Gina Palage, age 72, died peacefully amongst family on October 5, 2017.

Luigia was born January 11, 1945, in Cervinara, Italy. She was the daughter ofof the late Enrico DiPalma and Antonietta Scarinzi.

Luigia came to America in 1968 with her family and settled in Utica, NY. She found work as a seamstress in a bridal shop. After a few years she moved to Troy NY where she opened her beauty salon. Luigia’s passion for the cosmetology field and to her dedication to her clientele led her to be successful for over 40 years.

Luigia was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved cooking and caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Joseph Palage III and his wife Ashley Ann Palage and Enrico Nicholas Palage and his wife Stephanie Lynn Palage. Also, Luigia had three grandchildren Michael IV, Alessia and Nicholas. Luigia is also survived by her five siblings, Elda Abate, Ivo DiPalma, Amelia Moscatiello, Salvatore DiPalma and Angeline DePascalis.

The funeral service for Luigia will be held on Tuesday morning October 10, 2017 at 9:15 AM at The Bocketti Funeral home 336 Third St. Troy and at 10 AM at St. Pius X Church 23 Crumite Road Loudonville where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. The family will receive friends on Monday October 9, 2017 at the funeral home from 2pm until 5 PM.

Interment at St. Mary’s Mausoleum will follow the mass.
