Led by Adirondack Mountain Club trail maintenance staff, 47 employees from Lam Research helped Sept. 13 to extend the natural trail system in Malta Community Park. Workers performed a varity of tasks, from cutting branches and removing small trees to moving and spreading mulch, while carpenter team fixed broken park benches and kiosks and installed new trail markers. The new section connects the two ends of the current trail to complete a loop. Lam Research is worldwide supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and services to the global semiconductor industry. This year, workers at each each local Lam office in North America designed their own event to give back to the community. Lam also contributes $20 per hour for each employee’s volunteer time to nonprofit organizations, with the Adirondack Mountain Club to receive more that $3,000 to protect New York’s wildlands and waters.
