Annual chefs auction aids March of Dimes

One of the area’s most popular charity food events, the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction, will return beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Hilton Garden Inn on Hoosick Street.

Prominent area chefs will prepare signature dishes created exclusivel­y for the evening and paired with fine wines and spirits provided by Mionetto, Heaven Hill Distilleri­es, Brown’s Brewing Co., Soilair, Constellat­ion Liquors and Sara-

Inn will be joined by a stellar lineup of chefs from more than 10 of the area’s most prominent restaurant­s, including Tala American Bistro, Reel Seafood, Swifty’s Pub, DeFazio’s Pizzeria, Brown’s

Brewing Co., Tara Kitchen, Schenectad­y County Community College’s Casola Dining Room, Rocco’s, the Inn at Erlowest and Dinosaur BBQ.

Following the tasting, there will be a seated dessert

provided by Cake Street Bakery and a chocolate fondue fountain provided by We Do Fondue, with a live auction featuring many once-in-a-lifetime opportunit­ies. Funds raised Tuesday will help

support prenatal wellness programs, research grants, newborn intensive care unit family support programs and advocacy efforts for mothers and babies.

Tables of 10 for the event are $1,000, with individual
