Born in Troy on May 31, 1957, he was the loving son of George R. Hillje Sr. of Latham and the late Jean Ann (Dolan) Hillje.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include his sister Linda (Curt Hayner) Hillje, and his brother Scott J. (William Collura) Hillje, his aunts Deloris Hurd, Margaret Dolan, Carol Hill Henry je Grovenger, uncle Hillje and several cousins. Bob was predeceased by his aunt Lois Dolan Guild, Shirley Dolan LeCuyer and uncle Joseph T. Dolan Jr.

Services will be held vately at the convenience of the family

Interment will take place with his mother Jean Ann in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the spring of 2018.
