Levolia Dukes Thompson

Levolia Dukes Thompson was born on April 8, 1920 in Greeleyville, SC. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Dukes and AugusDukes. ta Simon

Levolia received her cation in the Clarendon County School System. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Pine Grove AME Church in Greeleyville. Levolia was married to the late John J. Thompson from Elleree, SC.

After moving to Troy, she united with Bethel Baptist Church and was baptized by Rev. B.S. Stinney. She was a faithful member serving on the Deaconess Ministry, The Pastor’s Aide, Senior Usher, The Floral Ministry and a devoted member of the Sunday School until her health preLevented her attending. volia was employed by and retired from her position as a Child Care Worker at Vanderhyden Hall in 1985.

Levolia leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Lily Thompson of Ashburn, VA, one grandson that was like a son to her, Dante Thompson from EhinCedric gen, Germany; four great grandchildren, Renner from Munich, GerDimany, Kareem Justin, vya Aaliyah, Dylara Iman, Thompson all of Ehingen, Germany.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27 at 11:00AM from the Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 Fifth Ave., Troy, NY. Family and friends are invited to atElmtend calling hours from 9AM-11:00AM preceding the service. Interment wood Hill Cemetery.
