Troy man accused of trashing home after domestic dispute

-

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. » Town police arrested a Troy man who allegedly ransacked a home Friday after a domestic incident.

Town Police Chief Robert Durivage said officers responded about 1:45 p.m. to a report of a suspicious man stumbling along the roadway on West Sand Lake Road, followed shortly thereafter by a report of damage to a home about a mile from where the man was sighted. Officers came upon Sulimen D. Mouzon, 22, of Troy, near Hoffman’s Car Wash, intoxicated, covered in blood and still bleeding profusely from his hands.

Meanwhile, another officer responded to a home at 228 West Sand Lake Road and found blood throughout the house, as well as an estimated thousands of dollars in damage, Durivage said. Motor oil had been poured on the floors and furniture, Durivage said, and there were also several broken windows and mirrors.

Durivage said Mouzon had lived at that residence but recently moved out. Following a domestic dispute, Mouzon’s girlfriend left him alone at the residence for several hours and returned to find the damage, Durivage said.

Mouzon told police he had cut his hands on the mirrors, Durivage said, and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. He was charged with a felony count of third-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree criminal mischief and a violation-level charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.
