TROY - Catherine (Kaye) McDonald Lashly, 74, of Troy, entered into eternal life on Monday November 6, 2017 at VanRenssel­aer Manor after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late DanMcDonal­d. iel J. and Helene J. Norton

Kaye was a 1960 ate of Catholic Central High School and was later employed with New York State. She worked for over 35 years for various NYS agencies and retired from the Office of Real Property Services in 1996.

Kaye was a sweet, loving and supportive person who enjoyed life with her famespeKay­e”. ily and friends. She was a second mother, a confidant and friend who was always there for her family, cially for her “Angel”. She was everyone’s “Aunt

Kaye enjoyed bowling, traveling, music, gaming at the casino’s, meeting for coffee with the “ladies” from Curves at McDonalds, Waterford, and spending her winters in Arizona.

Kaye is survived by her sister; Ann Marie Long, her brother Daniel J. (PatriBever­ly cia) McDonald, nieces and nephews; Robin M. Long, Jeffrey J. Long, Maria (Paul) Mencarelli, (Tony) Lapointe, Melvin (Beth) Swartz, James (TereBrissa) Swartz, also survived by her great nieces Casey see, Victoria Long and her special “Angel” Briana TorSteBris­ee res. She was predecease­d by her infant nephew phen Michael Long and great niece Carissa Lynn

Family and friends are vited and may call on Monday from 9 – 10:30 amat St. Joseph’s Church 416 3rd St. Troy. Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am with Fr. Lucian Beltzner officiatin­g, interment will follow in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
