Capital District Youth Wrestling League Coaches
meeting: The CDYWL will host its annual coaches meeting 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Ravenswood Pub in Clifton Park to discuss the program’s upcoming season. All school-based elementary wrestling clubs (K through 6th-grade) are invited to attend.

Troy Turkey Trot: Registration is open for the 70th Troy Turkey Trot. The annual 10k goes off at 8 a.m. with the 5k at 10 a.m.
Register at www.troyturkeytrot.com. On-line registration closes Nov. 20 at 11:59 p.m. Last chance in-person registration will be held at the Troy Atrium at 4 Third Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22. There is no day of event registration. Entry fee is $20 for the first 500 runners, then $25 until Halloween and then $30.

First Night Saratoga 5k Run: The 20th annual First Night Saratoga 5K Run, presented by Saratoga Arts, will be held on Sunday, December 31, at 5:30 PM. The race is limited to 1,500 registrants. Awards are given to the top three male and female, plus age category awards. All finishers will receive a First Night Commemorative Medal. Curling Open House: The Albany Curling Club will hold its annual fall open house on Saturday and Sunday, October 14-15. The event will run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Club’s facility at 117 West McKown Road (off Schoolhouse Road), Albany, N.Y. The event is free to the public.
